This year's most popular destination turned out to be, of all places, London's Heathrow Airport. BAA organized a hardcore survival camp that attracted thousands of Brits to their snowy Winter Wonderland campsite. Pontin's may be almost dead and buried but Heathrow survival was the surprise hit of the season. Sleeping under tinfoil blankets and foraging for food were among the skills that holidaymakers had to learn. Second most popular destination was the Eurostar queue, a flashmob of wannabe train spotters who lined up for hours in the freezing cold to admire the architecture of St Pancras.
